There's a lot of activity going on outside of our kitchen, too. Last weekend we spent the better part of a snowy March Saturday morning in the meeting room of Inside Dharma in University City, where we made several customers very happy! We sold our deep chocolate triple layer cake, a bourbon pecan pie, a raspberry gooey butter pie, lots of chocolate chip cookies, granola, muffins, and other goodies.
The week before, we were proud to be invited to a tasting event at Farm To You Market in Washington, Missouri. Just like their web site says: "Farm To You Market is the place for sustainable raised natural foods, including meats, and produce in season. Featuring a variety of agricultural products including grains, spices, dried and canned goods along with produce in season." Over just a few short hours of meeting happy customers and visitors, we watched countless eyebrows rise up to the hairlines of surprised faces when our products were tasted. There's that couple of seconds when you wait for it . . . wait for it . . . and then you get to see that look of surprise mixed with joy. Our made-from-scratch deep chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, the gluten-free almond flour honey cake, and the fruit filled hand pies were definitely among some of the things most enjoyed!
